Dr V. Rashaka is a General Practitioner with a deep commitment to caring for women, families, and the wider Nzhelele community. Her approach is grounded in three pillars: listening carefully, explaining clearly, and treating every patient with dignity.

Dr Rashaka completed international medical training in Cuba and obtained her MBBCh through Wits. Her internship at Tambo Memorial Hospital and experience in the South African public healthcare system shaped a practical, compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

She has a strong interest in women’s health, pregnancy care, and chronic disease management. Recognising that long travel distances, transport costs, and crowded facilities can delay access to care, she chose to practise in Nzhelele to bring quality healthcare directly to the community she serves.

To provide advanced support to expectant mothers, she obtained the Diploma in Obstetrics of South Africa (Dip Obst SA), reflecting specialised competence in managing normal and high-risk pregnancies, recognising complications early, and making informed referral decisions when required.

Known for being calm, attentive, and approachable, Dr Rashaka ensures patients and their families feel informed and supported in every healthcare decision.
